Certifications

At American Fabricators, we realize that Quality is not just a term used to describe our products. In today’s environment, Quality describes how well we support our customer’s needs in every aspect of conducting business. Competitive pricing, customer service, on-time deliveries, product quality, accurate documentation and responsiveness are all components of excellent Quality.

ISO-9001:2015

In February of 2000, American Fabricators became registered to the ISO-9000 series of quality standards to help us structure our company and promote an environment of continuous improvement. Our dedication to continuous improvement, a customer-focused mindset and an outstanding team of individuals is what sets us apart from the competition.

FabriVision Inspection Scanner

The FabriVision inspection scanner is used to verify punched and laser-cut parts during the first article process. This technology uses a laser beam to scan the flat parts coming off the punches or lasers and compares the scanned image of the part to the CAD file. A color-coded map is generated showing the variations between the CAD file and the part in increments of .002″. The machine software will also alert the inspector if any part features have been omitted.

GagePack Database

All gages, whether company or employee-owned, are traceable through our in-house calibration program. We use a GagePack database to manage the system and all standards used to verify gages are traceable to N.I.S.T.

In-House Welder Certification

Welders at American Fabricators undergo an in-house welder certification program that is based on the requirements of the American Welding Standard D1.1. Some of our more advanced welders have been 3rd party certified by an independent laboratory.
